Negative space nail art is definitely at the top of the list of nail trends currently sweeping the US. What is negative space nail art? Negative space nail art focuses on, obviously, the negative space of your nail. Most designs are geometric, but whatever type of shape, you want the focus to be on the part of your nail that does not have polish or a color.

There are many popular manicures, but here are a few for reference.

1. Put a rim of polish around your nail, whether it be a bright red or a subdued white, and leave the rest  plain or add a metallic stud for an elegant touch.
2. Try using some regular sticky tape or painters’ tape to create an easy mani with a variety of shapes. Another design you can try is a half moon. Use a page saver or a circular bandage to cover to top third or half of your nail, then apply polish below and remove. You can decorate the rough edge or leave it plain for a trendy manicure.
