The iPhone 15, the iPhone that was said to change the course of the future, was finally released. Apple marketed the new technology as a new and improved version of the iPhone, as it has a bunch of cool new features that weren’t included in past iPhones.
These include a new USB-C cable port, as well as a new ceramic shield that is supposed to be tougher than previous iPhones. There is also an improved battery life and an internal upgrade making it so powerful that you can now play high resolution games like “Assassin’s Creed” on it. There is another version of the iPhone 15 with a titanium case made out of the same material as the Mars Rover.
Apple also switched out the silent button for the new action button. The new action button can be assigned an action like recording a voice memo, opening camera, calling somebody, or taking a screenshot.
All this sounds great, but when the iPhone was released a string of recurring problems took place. For instance, although the front of the iPhone has a new ceramic glass screen and a titanium frame, the back glass is more prone to shattering than any other iPhone. This is due to a change in the quality of the glass, making it “easier to replace” or in other words, easier to break.
The iPhone also overheats severely during charging and use. Some customers even reported receiving burns from their iPhone. Not to mention the overheating gets even worse if you don’t charge it with the Apple issued USB-C.
All of these issues poses the question: is it really all that important for people to get the new iPhone every time Apple releases one? We really don’t need a bunch of super fragile iPhones that can potentially hurt or burn you after you’ve paid around a thousand dollars for it.
Overall, the iPhone 15 isn’t a good purchase, because even though it has a bunch of new features, it still has many serious problems that need to be fixed.
