As Spring Break rapidly approaches, many Northport High School students are beginning to get ready for their next big getaway. After a long third quarter of school, many people are desperately waiting to escape to a warm and sunny destination. So where are the most popular places students are planning to travel to this spring?
When looking for a place to travel to, many people opt for a warm location where there is plenty of sunshine every day. For many, the top picks on their list have beaches to lounge at all day without interruption. With these ideas in mind, many will choose to head south to states like North Carolina and Florida or even outside of the country to tropical islands in the Caribbean.
In Florida, many popular places to go include Siesta Key, Miami, South Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Clearwater, and Daytona Beach. While Miami, South Beach, Daytona Beach, and Fort Lauderdale are all on the Atlantic Coast of Florida, Siesta Key and Clearwater are on the Gulf Coast.
Although some of these beaches may be on different sides of Florida, there is no doubting the fact that they are great places to get away for Spring Break. Many of these beaches offer resorts, restaurants, and shopping that help to make vacations even more exciting. Florida is also known for its warm weather and sunshine almost all year which makes it an even more enticing location. In April, its temperatures range from anywhere between 66 degrees and 82 degrees on average.
If planning on visiting North Carolina, some of the best locations to travel to are Wilmington, the Outer Banks, and Topsail Beach. All of these beaches are guaranteed to aid in creating a relaxing and refreshing experience while on vacation. These beaches have both friendly towns and plenty of activities to take part in that will keep people of all ages entertained and happy.
In the Outer Banks, along with lounging on the beach, people can participate in wild horse tours, dolphin watching, mini golf, and so much more. In Wilmington, visitors can escape to the beach or into the small city for excellent shopping and dining. At Topsail Beach, there is plenty of fishing, swimming, and surfing for beach lovers to take part in. Vacationers will also have the opportunity to visit museums or shop and dine while visiting the area.
While many opt to stay in the country for their Spring Break getaways, some decide to travel to even more tropical places. Some of the most popular islands in the Caribbean for people to travel to tend to be Jamaica, Aruba, and Turks and Caicos.
While Jamaica may not be the most safe island, people tend to choose this place because of the diverse landscapes and stunning resorts that it has to offer. Many resorts in Jamaica are all-inclusive and have opportunities to participate in fun activities while also having food, dining, and drinks included in the price of the stay.
Aruba, known to be “one happy island”, is another popular destination for many good reasons. The island is safe, has plenty of activities to do, and has beautiful weather all year round. Vacationers on this island will be able to go snorkeling, have fun with water sports, relax on the beach, and enjoy shopping and dining.
Turks and Caicos is another example of a popular destination island. As more of a luxury island compared to others in the Caribbean, Turks and Caicos certainly do not lack in activities and amenities. Like on the other islands, vacationers can participate in water sports, snorkeling, relaxing on the beach, and are even able to immerse themselves in the local culture.
Many resorts in this area are also all-inclusive and offer plenty of ways for guests to enjoy their stay. People who visit this island often love their vacations and the memories created while lounging on the white sandy beaches and in the stunning clear blue water.
Whether traveling down South or to a different country over Spring Break, many people are truly looking forward to getting away from the stress that everyday life brings. From white sand beaches and clear blue waters, all of these destinations have a lot to offer.
So, as many Northport High School students begin to wrap up their last few school days before Spring Break, many are also packing their bags and eagerly awaiting their relaxing and sunshine-filled getaways away from home.
