In August, Disney revealed a lot of movie sequels coming out in the future. A lot of these sequels are making people excited for the upcoming years!
After the second Avatar movie, Avatar: The Way of Water, it was confirmed that there will be a third one called Avatar: Fire and Ash. This will be about a new Na’vi clan and the Sully family will have to face the dangerous fire clan. The third movie will be released in December, 2025.
Toy Story is a funny movie franchise about toys coming back to life when there isn’t anyone in the room, the 5th movie in this series is going to be about Woody and his gang going up against technology. It was also confirmed that 50 Buzz Lightyear toys are going to be in malfunctioning mode and will be villains. The movie will be coming out in summer 2026.
Frozen 3 is going to be coming out near 2027. The first two movies were successful and loved by most families, so we can be sure it will be good. They haven’t announced the details of what Frozen will be about.
The Incredibles is a movie about a family superheroes. This movie series, including two full movies and some short films, has gained a lot of popularity over the years, grossing over one billion worldwide. The third one doesn’t have a confirmed release date nor have they announced what the movie will be about.
Zootopia 2 will be coming out November 2025. The first Zootopia movie came out in 2016 and it became very popular. Disney officials confirmed that Zootopia 2 will pick up after the previous movie and see the two officers work together to solve a new mystery. The original voice actors of the main characters will be coming back to make the sequel.
There will be more movies coming out this year, like Moana 2. There will even be live action Snow White and Lilo & Stitch, and completely new movies that Disney has come up with. We hope there will be more fun movies coming out in the following years.
