There’s not often room for positivity in our modern news cycle, however today I’d like to take a moment to appreciate the school cookies. I remember, the summer before freshman year asking, “Is NHS a good school?”
The response I got: ‘The cookies are good.”
And that’s not to say I don’t have appreciation for the other wonderful aspects of our institution, but the cookies are probably one of the most popular parts of our school.
Sweet, chewy, and chocolaty, this sugary snack provides a quick blood sugar boost as well as an incredible taste.
At first, I got a cookie a few times a week. Then it became every day. Then it was two every day. On weekends, I’d even start craving chocolate chips. I’ve seen my classmates come back from “the bathroom” napkin in hand, chocolate on their lips.
After freshman year, I decided to cut back a little. I mean they’re just cookies right? But then, on the first day of school, I saw something new.
The one and only double chocolate chip cookie.
Now I can’t say it’s as good as the original (sequels never are) but the white chocolate chips are a nice surprise. I think you should at least try the newest addition to the school lunchline.
