Over the summer, I visited Sweet Mama’s often for breakfast and lunch, so I’ve gotten to know the atmosphere of the restaurant. Since Sweet Mama’s is right off of Route 25A at 9 Alsace Place, this is a perfect destination for anyone looking for a good brunch in Northport!
Menu:
When looking at the menu at Sweet Mama’s, there are many typical brunch items but also many unique options that are special to Sweet Mama’s. These options include the Nana Nutter Waffle with sliced banana and whip cream and the Mama’s Omelet with sausage, bacon, peppers and onions.
These unique dishes are delectable, but the regular Belgian Waffle is delicious as well. From the most simple orders to the most unique ones, you will find something for you on the Sweet Mama’s menu.
Pricing and Speed:
At Sweet Mama’s, you can find something that fits almost everyone’s price range. In addition, the speed of the staff is very efficient. When I went on a Saturday morning, a time when breakfast restaurants are usually very busy, the staff brought our food out to us in a timely manner, and checked in on us multiple times.
Atmosphere:
The atmosphere of Sweet Mama’s is one of my favorite aspects of this restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you feel that you are at an old-fashioned breakfast place. The wood floors, decor and the molding on the ceiling only enhance this feeling. All rooms are very bright and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Overall Experience:
Sweet Mama’s is one of my favorite breakfast restaurants on Long Island. There are so many options to choose from, and I always try new foods every time I go there, all of them being delicious options. I love the atmosphere and the general vibe in the restaurant. I highly recommend this place for any student with periods off in the morning, since they are very quick in making your meal and it is close to the high school.
