On Sunday, September 7, the Northport Tigers Marching Band made an impression at the Jets Opening game. The band played Rhianna and Jlo for seven minutes at halftime with the Jets president of sales calling the performance the ‘best halftime performance he had ever experienced’.
Kicking Off A New School Year
Playing the historic Metlife stadium, the band managed to bring an incredible show to East Rutherford only two days into the school year. How was this possible? Well, our town’s musicians spent the summer practicing relentlessly at pre-clinic, band camp, and even during the first few days of class (before and after school). If anyone could be credited with this accomplishment it should be Mrs. Cromeyn. A special thanks to her and all the NHS staff that helps support the band.
Overall, the band did an exemplary job in representing Northport Highschool. They really showed their stripes!
