*WARNING: SPOILERS*

Known for its wild storylines and dramatic characters, the revamp of the old Dynasty is back for season two!

The season starts one month after the events of last season. The show gives us a montage of the events that happened the last month after the fire. Culhane and Fallon are deeply in love and trying to make it work, but the forces of love want to keep playing their games. We also find out that Cristal is officially dead and that Kirby is back from Australia, unfortunately for the Carringtons.

Dynasty is a really good show so let’s start by getting into everything that was amazing:

-Fallon and Culhane are finally together!!!

-Kirby has made her entrance and she is fierce

-The scene with Fallon, Liam’s uncle, Liam, and Culhane was very good and well executed, it’s an excellent representation of what the show is about

-That scene where Blake punched the photographer who was being racist felt so satisfying.

-And the moment after where Blake and Sam had the talk about Cristal was just so supporting, I loved it. Neither of them has had that type of moment with each other before and it felt highly needed for the story and for Sam to become even more part of the family.

-The roaring twenties party was amazing with the costumes and set, it was just really well done. I loved it all!

-And that smile when Fallon set up her dad and the way Elizabeth Gillies delivers that line about how she likes to think anything can happen sounded natural

-I loved how the show didn’t forget Cristal right away; they made characters come together and be supportive of one another. Even though I’m sad she’s gone, I love how they are upholding her legacy.

-The entire engagement scene was beautifully done and immensely sweet

-We all know that the Cristal at the end is probably the real Cristal Flores?

No show is perfect so here’s my list of all the things I didn’t like:

-I’m going to admit it, I don’t want another season of a love triangle between Fallon, Culhane and Liam. And I feel we all know that when Liam’s uncle finds out that Liam and Fallon aren’t married everything is going to go to hell, right?

-I really do hate Alexis’s character. She’s great when there needs to be drama and tension but otherwise she’s just always being vicious and complaining

-Not looking up Liam’s family is really dumb and not in Fallon’s character to do so.

-Did I forget to mention the whole, Steven and the senator’s wife, Melissa Daniels, pregnancy plot? I didn’t? Oh, that’s because that storyline is terrible. I repressed it in my mind. The whole idea that a woman going through menopause is able to get pregnant and that it can’t be her soon-to-be ex husband because they are getting a divorce is a crazy idea to me.

-Alexis and Blake getting together in Cristal’s room was just so out of the blue and forced.

Overall the premiere of Dynasty was very dramatic as usual and kept me on the edge of my seat. While I will admit I did think this episode was filled to the brim with plot details, it still has some nice moments where we learned more about the characters.
