On Friday, November 30, 2018 our 41st President, George H.W. Bush, passed away at 94 years old from Parkinson’s disease. His funeral took place on Wednesday, December 4th at the Washington National Cathedral. Several world leaders and five presidents came to pay their respects including President Barack Obama, President Donald Trump, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Prince Charles of England and Polish President Andrzej Duda. President George W. Bush described his father as “a great and novel man, the best father a son or daughter could have,” and “the brightest of 1,000 points of light.” Others recounted his impeccable leadership during his presidency from 1989 to 1993. He was a war hero, humble and beloved man in spite of his wealth, stature and success. He was buried next to his wife Barbara at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Texas.
