When a book’s subrights gets sold to a production company, it’s only a matter of time before they come out into theater. In this list I’ll break down the top movies that are coming out this winter.

1. Mary Queen of Scots – Based on the book Queen of Scots by John Guy, this story takes place in the late 1500’s to the early 1600’s and is about the adventures Mary, Queen of Scots takes to reach her goal and become queen. In theaters: November 2, 2018

5. Boy Erased – To continue with the heartbreaking movies, Boy Erased by Garrard Conley is a memoir about how Garrard was outed to his parents at nineteen-years-old. 7. The Girl in the Spider’s Web – The next movie in the thrilling series of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson comes another story about Lisbeth Salander. In this story Lisbeth and Blomkvist are back at it trying to find a secret that is vital to the United States. High stakes meet government corruption in this novel. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms – In this retelling of E.T.A Hoffmann’s traditional novel, all Clara wants is a key to the box, but when she finds it she immediately loses it in a magical and unknown world. 9. Mortal Engines – Sci- Fi never seemed so interesting until this book by Philip Reeve.
