I enjoy having milk with my school lunch, but I prefer whole milk, or skim milk if I can’t have that. However, the high school cafeteria decided to completely spoil that by only offering chocolate milk or low fat milk.

The cafeteria is literally forcing me to drink chocolate milk with my lunch! I always buy lunch, and I set a strict rule for myself last year that states that I am only allowed to get one extra item per week in the lunchroom, barring special occasions like my birthday or the day that I’m performing in a concert. This rule ensures that I don’t blow through the money in my lunch account. Even though I haven’t seen anything in the cafeteria that I want to spend that on, I still keep to that rule. (I mostly got ice cream last year, for anyone who’s curious.)

I enjoy having milk with my school lunch, but I prefer whole milk, or skim milk if I can’t have that. However, the high school cafeteria decided to completely spoil that by only offering chocolate milk or low fat milk. And no, this was not the case for the school lunch last year at NMS, even though I’m told that the middle school is doing the same thing as the high school cafeteria now. Last year at NMS, they offered either skim milk or whole milk. (It was one of the two. I think it was whole milk, not skim milk, but I’m not completely sure.)

But now, I’m being forced to have the chocolate milk. The only other option is the low fat milk, which I don’t even like, and all the waters and iced tea cans (I think it’s iced tea, I didn’t really get that close of a look since I never buy them) don’t come with the meal. UGH!
