I prefer to read in class rather than pay attention and I never, never, study.

Everyone always tells you to study. Teachers will say that “your homework tonight is to study for the test”, people keep giving you “study tips”, and students who are talking about their grades will be like, “Oh, I had to study for 6 whole hours last night and I’m so glad I did because I know I would have failed the test if I didn’t”.

But that isn’t the way things are for me. I prefer to read in class rather than pay attention and I never, never, study. But I think the only reason this works for me is because I’m an excellent multitasker. I work very fast, especially in math, and I learn things very quickly, which gets frustrating sometimes, especially in math.

Like I was saying, I don’t usually pay attention in class and I never study, but please don’t try this. This only works because I have a specific skill set and it will probably not work for you.

And let’s face it, if you try it and it doesn’t end up working, then your grades will suffer because of it and who wants that, right? I don’t want to get in trouble because I wrote this article and now half the school decided to try my way of learning and are failing all over the place.

So the bottom line is, this works for me because I’m me, so please don’t try it. Find what works for you, not what works for someone else. Have a nice school year, everyone!
