This year’s fantasy football season so far has been outstanding, full of injuries and upsets. From the Patriots receiving their franchise quarterback Drake Maye only a few years after having Tom Brady, to the downfall of the Jets. It’s fair to say that this season will be full of crazy unpredictable games and players. In the world of fantasy football, points are everything they make or break your chances of becoming the ultimate fantasy football champion.
This year the fantasy MVP is a contest between Puka Nacua, Jonathan Taylor and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, all averaging above twenty points which can greatly help a fantasy team win their league. The season’s biggest busts for now include Brian Thomas Jr. averaging only 11 points and was some people’s second round pick. Another big bust of the season is Tee Higgins who was also a second round pick for fantasy owners, he averages only 10 points which for those who don’t know, is extremely low for a second round pick. In my opinion the biggest bust of the season so far is Chase Brown because he was a 3rd round pick for most people and averages 10 points.
The best hidden gems (best value for draft pick) for Fantasy include Emeka Egbuka, Tyler Warren and Jake Ferguson with all of them being drafted way lower than they should have. Emeka Egbuka averages 17 points and was drafted near the ninth round which is great value for fantasy points. Tyler Warren averages 15 points and was picked near the 9th round like Egbuka and has found his way into some of the best teams in fantasy leagues. These hidden gems were all picked near the end of the draft and got points similar to those drafted in the 2nd and 3rd round. They are extremely beneficial because not only do they generate large amounts of points but they also allow you to use a higher pick to get another player who averages around the same amount of points.
This fantasy football season is full of crazy ups and downs that include the Giants new rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart showing his exceptional skill even though he completely mastered the playbook. In all there is still most of the season left and only time will tell if these players will remain great or fall into a slump.
